Our experience
Product evidence
LAUNCHED is a product evidence library — the research behind the decisions that make software money, graded by how much weight that research can actually hold.
Interface economics
Every product has a handful of screens that decide its revenue — the paywall, the pricing table, the upgrade prompt, the first run, the cancel flow. Teams treat them as design surfaces. They are financial ones.
Interface economics is the habit of costing those decisions instead of debating them: what a default is worth, what one more form field costs, what a third pricing column does to the second.
Sales owns the pipeline. Billing owns the invoice. Almost nobody owns the screens in between — which is exactly why so many of these decisions get made on instinct, shipped, and never checked again.
The evidence library
Each topic takes one decision — what a paywall should say, how many pricing tiers to show, when to ask for an email — and pairs the peer-reviewed research with our own audit of what top apps actually ship. Then it rebuilds the whole thing as a before/after you can click through.
Each topic ends with a copy-paste prompt that applies the research to your app.
Ten researched pitches are waiting on the leaderboard. Vote them up or down — no sign-in needed.
The standard
Most product advice is folklore — a statistic with no paper behind it, repeated until it feels true. Product evidence is the opposite: every claim carries its source, its sample size, and a grade for how much weight it can hold.
Every number is traced to the original paper — author, year, journal, sample size, effect size. Replication status checked.
Every claim is tagged SOLID, CONTESTED, SHAKY, or BLACKLISTED. When the science is weak, you know.
Each topic ships a list of famous claims that died under a primary-source check.
Instead of regurgitating what is trending, we sample hundreds of real screens from top apps and check the patterns ourselves.
The research hub
Every claim in the evidence library traces back to a source in here — 88 of them so far, each one fetched and read before it earned a place. Peer-reviewed work first, rigorous practitioner accounts clearly labelled as such, and vendor marketing never.
It grows every week. We keep reading, and whatever survives the check gets added — so the hub is a running record of what we have learned, including the studies that changed our own minds.
New — LAUNCHED Playbooks
The library tells you what is true. The Playbooks tell you what to do: build-order checklists for your pricing page, free trial and first run — every step graded, linked to live apps doing it right, and shipped with a copy-paste prompt your coding agent can implement in minutes.
The LAUNCHED newsletter
Each issue takes a single product decision — a paywall, an onboarding step, a pricing table — and lays out what the research actually found, what top apps actually ship, and the specific change to make in your own product.
Free. One email a week, nothing else.
From Build With Kris
LAUNCHED is the evidence engine behind the Build With Kris channel — where each decision turns into an episode you can watch: the research, a real-world case, and the rebuild, screen by screen.
